Lubricated oil
The main functions of lubricating oil are protection, lubrication, cooling, sealing, vibration reduction, unloading and flushing.
1. Protection.
It can protect against corrosion and dust.
2. Lubrication.
Improve friction conditions, reduce friction, prevent friction, and reduce power consumption.
3. Cooling effect.
Most of the heat generated during friction is taken away by lubricating oil, and a small part of the heat is directly emitted through conduction radiation.
4. Sealing effect.
The sealing between the cylinder wall and the piston of the screw air compressor is based on the sealing effect of lubricating oil.
5. Damping effect.
The friction parts move on the oil film as if floating on the "conservator", which plays a buffer role in the vibration of the equipment.
6. Unloading effect.
Due to the existence of oil film between friction surfaces, the load acting on the friction surface is evenly distributed on the friction surface through the oil film. This effect of oil film is called unloading effect.
7. Flushing effect.
The worn debris can be taken away by lubricating oil, which is called flushing. The flushing effect has a great impact on the wear. The lubricating oil formed between the friction surfaces is very thin, and the metal debris will damage the oil film and form dry friction when staying on the friction surface. Causes abrasive wear.
