Cleaning of the air compressor head (air end)
1.Why do we need to clean the head of the air compressor?
If the oil injection screw air compressor is used for a long time, there will be impurities such as oil scale, carbon deposits, sediment, rust, etc. in the oil circuit. In addition, air compressors that have used different brands of lubricating oil may also have a black rubber substance similar to asphalt, which can mix and cause coking. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly use cleaning agents to clean the inside of the machine head (host), paint bucket, radiator, and oil pipe, in order to eliminate safety hazards.
2.How to clean it?
a. Using online cleaning agents
① First, run the air compressor for a few minutes to allow the lubricating oil to reach room temperature;
② Turn off the air compressor, wait for the internal pressure to dissipate, open the fuel cap, pour in cleaning agent, and then tighten the fuel cap;
③ Turn on the air compressor and run it for 30 minutes;
④ Drain the old lubricating oil and add new engine oil.
The temperature of the cleaned air compressor should decrease by at least 10 degrees.
b. Remove the machine head (host), lubricating oil pipeline, and cooler, and clean them one by one. Then install it back onto the air compressor.
